If this game is a big success it could be huge for RTS in general because it would show that there are still a lot of people interested in RTS and it could tempt big companies to try and make their own. Just look at Warcraft 3 Reforged for an example of how highly detailed units are not always a good thing.īut it's not just about Aoe4 to me. Some people are gonna be disappointed with the relatively low fi graphics, but I honestly think its a necessary evil in order to attain good readability. Note that the video is obviously compressed, and it was a stress test, so the graphics definitely look sharper in person. Here's an example (not mine) from the stress test: The battles "feel" great when you play it, which is something smaller studios really struggle with imo. It just felt right to me and I was having a lot of fun. I played the stress test, and after initially being a bit disappointed by the lack of new battle mechanics, the more I played, the more fun I had. Did you play the beta / stress test? Now, disclaimer, I am a huge RTS fan, which probably colors my views. I was wondering what you guys thought of it. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creeschĪoe4 is less than a month from release (releases October 28th), and it will be the first truly AAA RTS since./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits.

We'll be on the lookout and update this article as soon as we learn anything new about Age of Empires 4 cheats (or console commands). We also don't know how many forbidden powers they'll give us but, hopefully, it won't be too long before we learn more. When exactly we'll see Age of Empires 4 cheats added to the game remains, currently, a mystery. "Cheats! Cheats are coming post-launch as well, since that's kind of a classic Age thing," creative director Adam Isgreen told Rock Paper Shotgun in an interview from August 2021. While we won't be spawning in cars to instantly murder our opponents' infantry any time soon, they are confirmed to arrive at some point after release. AOE4 Cheats aren't available at launch, which may prove less than ideal for some of the more power-hungry members of the strategy game's playerbase.
